AERO Drones addresses integration of drones into general airspace

Until a few years ago, helicopters were still largely left to their own devices in lower airspace. However, more and more commercially operated UAS are now operating there and the full integration of drones into general airspace is an important task. In addition to practicable and integrative regulations, safe coexistence requires above all mutual acceptance and an open dialog. As part of AERO Friedrichshafen (Germany), AERO Drones has become firmly established in recent years as a “trade fair within the trade fair” and has focused thematically on “Drones in public safety operations”. This year (April 9 to 11), the coexistence of manned and unmanned aviation will also be addressed more strongly - and UAS and helicopters are literally moving closer together. For the first time, AERO Drones will take place in Hall B4, directly adjacent to the “Heli Hangar” at AERO (April 9 to 12).

The Association for Unmanned Aviation will be present at the trade fair organized by UAV DACH member fairnamic GmbH with a large number of exhibiting member companies and will be involved in the design of the lecture program. We are looking forward to lots of discussions and exchanges with representatives from authorities and associations, in which we will advocate for the fair and equal integration of drones into general airspace. The AERO aviation trade fair is an excellent place for intensive dialog between manned and unmanned aviation, and AERO Drones is also an established meeting place for exchanging ideas on the important topic of “drones in public safety operations”.
