The higher the degree of Automation<\/a>the more efficiently UAS<\/a>-based business models. Accordingly, there are many different endeavours to achieve not only regulatory but also technological progress in this area. Competitions are a popular way of getting a step closer to future innovations.<\/p>\n

In the innovation competition SPRIND - Federal Agency for Leap Innovations<\/a> Funke \"Fully Autonomous Flight\", developers were therefore asked to develop an autonomous flying system with a maximum take-off weight of up to 25 kilograms that could not only safely complete a predefined course without human intervention, but also not be distracted by unforeseen disruptive factors. After all, automated or even (partially)autonomous<\/a> acting Drones<\/a> must be able to react to unplanned events in the sky at any time.<\/p>\n

At the end of the competition, which lasted several months, the final was held at the airbase in Erding\/Bavaria. There, in the end Fly4Future<\/a>a spin-off from the Technical University of Prague, came out on top ahead of the Beyond Vision and KopterKraft teams.<\/p>\n

One of UAV DACH's core concerns is to contribute to the safe, commercially sustainable UAS flight operations of the future and to the development of the European drone economy through networking and the exchange of information. Board member Michael Wieland<\/a> travelled to the final event to award the winners with a one-year membership of the Association for Unmanned Aviation. This free membership opportunity is intended to give the team the chance to benefit from the wide range of services offered by UAV DACH in their innovative work, to network with other members and to get involved in the work of the specialist committees. In cooperation with our partners from the Messe D\u00fcsseldorf GmbH<\/a> Fly4Future will also have the opportunity to present itself with its own stand at the XPONENTIAL Europe<\/a> in D\u00fcsseldorf and contribute to the conference programme there.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
