From 13 to 15 May, the international ATM organization CANSO hosted Airspace World in Lisbon - the leading industry meeting for air traffic management and airspace coordination. In addition to many players from the traditional areas of air traffic control, systems engineering and work ergonomics, the UAS\/AAM industry was also represented on site. The message was clear: an integrated airspace needs clear common rules and can only be efficiently designed jointly by manned and unmanned aviation.<\/p>\n
EASA was also heavily involved in the numerous discussions and rounds of talks. The newly structured ATM\/UTM\/U-space team led by Maria Algar Ruiz and Stephane Vaubourg also used Airspace World to present ANRA Technologies, the first U-space service provider approved in Europe. It remains to be seen whether the next approval will be a long time coming or whether this is the starting signal for a series of further USSP approvals. And whether the responsible national authorities will license the first USSPs as quickly as possible in order to avoid competitive disadvantages for other applicant companies.<\/p>\n
UAV DACH was represented on site by the two board members Oliver Lichtenstein and Michael Wieland. In addition to many intensive and informative discussions and a visit to our member company Beyond Vision, they joined the other European UAS associations Drone Alliance Europe, Alliance for New Mobility Europe, Global UTM Association and Joint European Drone Associations in welcoming around 50 Airspace World participants to an informal \u201cRooftop Drink\u201d.
