Following the guidelines for the open operation category and for BOS facilities, the next practical guide has been published: the \u201cIT Baseline Protection Profile for the Operation of UAS, Volume 2: UAS Category \u2018Specific\u2019\u201c. The basic protection profiles were developed in close coordination with the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) and are available for free download on the BSI website.<\/p>\n<p>A failure of the communication infrastructure or tampered databases can lead to UAS malfunction and thus endanger flight safety. While Volume 1 of the Basic Protection Profile addressed the \u201cOpen\u201d category, the now available and similarly structured Volume 2 addresses the specific requirements of the UAS \u201cSpecific\u201d category and the associated challenges.
