In doing so, he makes it clear that the mandatory introduction of ADS-L lays the foundation for a comprehensive situational awareness in lower airspace. Only with a shared situational awareness can manned and unmanned aviation operate safely together. At the same time, member states must be required to allow BVLOS operations within a binding, reasonable timeframe. This provides the planning certainty that companies need to develop scalable applications and business models.
We look forward to two days of discussion and to playing an active role in shaping the future of innovative air mobility.
