The highlights of the Unmanned Systems Conference 2024

When it comes to the precise and efficient collection of geodata, Hashtag#drones can really demonstrate their strengths. Therefore, it is no wonder that unmanned systems are already standard equipment in many companies in the fields of geodesy, geoinformation and land management. This is why, in addition to UAS and tailor-made sensor technology, specific application scenarios and specific drone-based business models will also play a role at Intergeo, which takes place in Stuttgart, Germany from September 24 to 26. Every year, the exhibition, organized by UAV DACH member HINTE Expo & Conference GmbH, attracts participants from all over the world looking to discuss current products and future trends in the surveying industry.

This year, the Association for Unmanned Aviation will once again be involved as an expert partner in the planning and implementation of the “Unmanned Systems Conference”, which will take place as part of INTERGEO Expo and Conference on September 24 and 25. Board members Michael Wieland and Jan Schönberg will host some of the sessions on the program, where experts from specialist committees and member companies will provide information on specific opportunities for commercial drone operations and discuss current regulatory and technological hurdles in panel discussions. In addition to an update on current initiatives relating to Sections 21h and 21k of the Air Traffic Regulations, one of the main topics will be how UAS can be integrated as efficiently as possible into operational processes for the acquisition of geodata.
