UAV DACH provides input for coalition negotiations

The upcoming German government must take decisive action

UAV DACH member Quantum Systems promotes “A new age of reconnaissance” in Berlin. The German Aerospace Industries Association emphasizes: “The future begins up above”. There is no question that the agenda of the upcoming German government will have enormous significance for the further development of unmanned aviation in Europe. For this reason, UAV DACH is also working hard to ensure that the coalition negotiations between the CDU/CSU and SPD take sufficient account of the importance of unmanned aviation for Germany as a business location and for Europe's defense capability.

UAV DACH formulated specific measures and guidelines that the drone economy believes a future German government must take into account in the coming legislative period and implement in practical government work, laws and regulations in the best interests of the UAS as a technology of the future. From fully digitized airspace with the obligation to electronically identify all aircraft, to industry and application-oriented research and innovation funding, to a suitable legal framework so that drones can be operated both sensibly and effectively to ensure internal security, to protect critical infrastructure and in the event of a disaster or crisis.

A commercially successful UAS industry has the potential to have a positive impact on society in Germany and Europe and to reduce dependencies on other regions of the world. And this in very different areas of everyday life, the economy and national and alliance defense. The right course must be set now – with determination and courage. This is what we are calling for.
