Money makes the world go round. Research, development, and innovation require more than just good ideas and concepts. The necessary funds to finance all of this are no less important. That is why UAV DACH is committed to creating adequate funding instruments at the national and European level to support industry-related research and application-oriented product development on behalf of its members and the entire European UAS industry.
It is crucial to consider the entire spectrum of the drone economy. Tailored and accessible offers are key to harnessing the enormous potential of startups and small and medium-sized enterprises. In addition to financial resources, consulting and networking services should not be forgotten. After all, if you want to establish a strong and resilient UAS industry in Europe, you have to create the right framework conditions.
A current example of how funding designed with the needs of the UAS industry in mind can look is the ongoing Civil Drones Innovation Programme. This is a European initiative under the umbrella of the European Cluster for Drone Innovation (ECDI). The open call is currently running, and SMEs have until March 16 to apply for one of the 25 places in the funding program for the development of innovative technologies for civil and dual-use drones
