Olaf Grimme headed the Joint Application Group Drone Detection & Countermeasures for a good two and a half years. During this time, he was involved in developing the highly acclaimed recommendations for action for the German federal government on the detection and defense against illegally operated drones. Olaf Grimme will continue to contribute his extensive expertise to the joint working group with the German Aerospace Industries Association (BDLI) in the future but will no longer lead the committee. Johannes Hölzl from UAV DACH member Walaris will take over as head of the AG DDC.
On behalf of all members who are involved in our specialist groups, we would like to take this opportunity to thank Olaf Grimme for his great commitment to the association for unmanned aviation and the entire European UAS industry and wish his successor Johannes Hölzl every success and good luck in leading the Joint Application Group Drone Detection & Countermeasures.
The diverse activities and initiatives of our Competence Groups, Application Groups, and Legal Advisory Board form a central basis for the association's work and are also a valuable source of information for our members from all areas of the UAS/AAM industry. We therefore invite interested parties to contact our office to find out more about the work of the UAV DACH committees and the opportunities to actively participate in shaping positive framework conditions for the drone economy.
