Defining the Future of Airspace for Drones in Europe

Inform, connect, and shape. These are the fundamental principles of the UAV DACH activities. All three are reflected in the association's Competence and Application Groups. They are the center of expertise, where important groundwork is laid for the benefit of the European UAS industry. For example, in the Competence Group Infrastructure Airspace, led by Jan-Eric Putze.

Integrating drones into airspace on an equal basis with manned aircraft is a key priority for the UAS industry. While supporting the implementation of the European U-Space concept, the CG Infrastructure Airspace contributes to defining the framework for detect-and-avoid and advocates for the mandatory use of ADS-L to ensure electronic conspicuity of all participants in lower airspace. The CG considers established aviation safety requirements and promotes their transition into a digitally supported infrastructure that remains economically viable and practically applicable for UAS operators.

The comprehensive activities and initiatives of our Competence Groups, Application Groups, and the Legal Advisory Board form a central foundation of the association's work and are also a valuable source of information for our members from all sectors of the UAS industry. Therefore, we cordially invite interested parties to contact our main office to learn more about the committee work within UAV DACH and the opportunities to actively contribute to shaping a positive framework for the drone economy.
