Innovative Air Mobility Implementation Forum

With the first Innovative Air Mobility Implementation Forum on October 22 and 23, 2024, the EASA - European Union Aviation Safety Agency offers an additional opportunity to inform and exchange information on technical and regulatory challenges for UAS operations as well as questions of social acceptance of drones. A key objective is to contribute to the sustainable development of the European drone economy through dialog between various IAM stakeholders.

The event will be opened at the EASA headquarters in Cologne by Florian Guillermet, Executive Director of the European Aviation Safety Agency. In addition to a review of the implementation of regulatory requirements for UAS operations in general and U-space areas in particular, EASA officials will also provide insights into their strategic plans for 2025. Regulatory issues such as "Unlocking low-risk operations: optimising the 'open' category and the role of pre-defined risk assessment (PDRA) and standard scenarios (STS)" will also be discussed in various workshops. But also topics from operational practice ("BVLOS operations over high seas") and more technical issues ("Enabling C2 link using mobile network technology") are on the agenda.

For the UAV DACH, the Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board René Wagner and Matthias Vyshnevskyy, Head of the Design & Manufacturing Competence Group, will be on site. Interested parties can follow the event online; places in Cologne are limited. Both free online access and tickets for attending the event in person can be purchased here: https://lnkd.in/ezc5j2Ky
