When it comes to the use of unmanned systems, many eyes are focused on Europe, North America and Asia. But of course, innovative companies in the rest of the world are also working on developing their own UAS technologies or using existing products and concepts. This is also the case in Africa. Rwanda is considered one of the most advanced countries on the continent in the use of civil UAS technology, while in Tanzania drones are at the center of a current 5-year development plan.
International networking and partnerships are among the main cornerstones of the UAV DACH association's work. As a specialist partner, the Association for Unmanned Aviation therefore supported the initiative of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection to organize a market exploration visit for companies in the field of civil drone technology to Tanzania and Rwanda. The participating companies, which will be able to gather impressions, experience and contacts in East Africa between November 18 and 22, include the six UAV DACH members HHLA Sky, Wingcopter, AeroData, AeroDCS, Dronesperhour and Germandrones. In Dar es Salaam and Kigali, the delegation's agenda includes company visits and, in particular, networking events with representatives of local organizations and authorities.

By the way on March 24-28, 2025, there will be a market exploration trip to Australia, which is mainly aimed at small and medium-sized companies from Germany. A visit to the AVALON Airshow will also be part of the itinerary.
