Singing the praises of unsung heroes. Their work rarely takes center stage, yet the diverse activities of our specialist groups form a central pillar of the work of the Association for Unmanned Aviation. The Advisory Comitee (AC) serves as a technical center of expertise within UAV DACH. Under the leadership of a management team elected directly by the General Assembly, the heads of the technical groups and the Legal Advisory Board work together to develop positions and statements on current regulatory and technological issues. The AC advises and supports the UAV DACH Executive Board. With the active involvement of all association members (member participation), it develops, consolidates, and coordinates the association’s position on all relevant technical issues. In addition, the statements and recommendations to be developed by the competence and application groups are planned, coordinated, and finalized here based on feedback from association members.
At the last general meeting, the leadership of the Advisory Committee was renewed. For the next three years, Michael Wieland and Matthias Vyshnevskyy (as deputy head) will serve in this important role in the interests of the European UAS industry and for the benefit of the members of UAV DACH.
