Board
The Legal Advisory Board helps the association's committees to keep an eye on the relevant laws and regulations associated with the operation of unmanned systems at European and national level for all initiatives and projects. The expertise bundled in the LAB therefore offers important guidance and provides valuable information when it comes to the legal assessment of draft regulations and association statements. The committee also advises on navigating through complex regulatory landscapes, particularly with regard to data protection and operational liability issues that may be associated with the commercial use of drones.
Gruppenleiter
Oliver ist Gründungspartner von BHO Legal und leitet dort die Abteilung für Luftrecht. Er verfügt über 21 Jahre Erfahrung in der Luft- und Raumfahrt, davon zwölf Jahre mit Schwerpunkt auf UAS. Er berät Industrie und Regierung in Fragen der Regulierung, Beschaffung und Zertifizierung, darunter auch das deutsche Verteidigungsministerium beim Erwerb von Drohnen. Er leitet die rechtliche Seite großer Technologieprogramme und war an der Gestaltung der EU-Rahmenbedingungen für Galileo, das Weltraumverkehrsmanagement und nationale UAS-Vorschriften beteiligt. Als langjähriger Berater der EU-Agentur für das Raumfahrtprogramm (EUSPA) begann er seine Karriere beim DLR als Galileo-Projektmanager. Er hat einen Doktortitel in Rechtswissenschaften mit Schwerpunkt Forschungsförderungsrecht, ist Mitglied der Kölner Anwaltskammer und der ECSL.
