UAV DACH Members Are Contributing to EASA‘s Drone Regulations Update

EASA is preparing an update to the “Drone Regulations” 2019/945 and 2019/947, which form a crucial foundation for the manufacture and operation of unmanned aircraft systems in Europe. With Notice of Proposed Amendment (NPA) 2026-103, the European Aviation Safety Agency has presented a draft aimed at incorporating practical flight experience and technological advancements into future regulations.

The comment period is currently in progress, during which European trade associations such as UAV DACH can actively participate in the process. Members of the Association for Unmanned Aviation are therefore encouraged to contribute to the comment process as part of the member engagement initiative. After consolidation by the relevant expert committees, this feedback will be directly incorporated into the association’s official statement on NPA 2026-103.

The active involvement of all members and a participatory opinion-forming process form an important foundation of UAV DACH’s association work. This gives interested parties the opportunity to actively contribute their expertise and practical experience from commercial drone operations to crucial rule-making processes, thereby helping to shape the regulatory framework for their own business operations.
