Knowledge is good. Evidence is even better. On behalf of our industry members and in structured dialogue with European institutions, we are currently collecting information on how drones are already used in practice for the inspection and maintenance of critical infrastructure, particularly in gas and oil pipelines and water supply systems.
The purpose of this data collection is to obtain reliable, practice-based insights that make real applications visible, assess regulatory requirements on a factual basis, and identify both innovation potential and existing obstacles. The results will serve as a technical foundation for discussions with the European Commission and political decision-makers.
