At the 2026 World Economic Forum in Davos, EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announced the introduction of an additional EU-wide legal framework for companies, which is intended to make things easier for start-ups and new businesses in particular. The “EU Inc” idea essentially provides for a significant acceleration of company registrations, which, with a share capital of €1 or more, would be carried out completely online and within 48 hours. This would make it easier for companies to operate in all member states of the European Union.
UAV DACH welcomes initiatives such as this, which contribute to accelerated administrative processes and EU-wide harmonization of regulations and procedures. However, simplified and harmonized company registration is not enough. At best, this can only be a first step toward reducing requirements, restrictions, and bloated procedures. The European Union and its 27 member states are called upon to tackle bureaucracy reduction consistently and quickly in order to create adequate framework conditions for important future technologies such as unmanned aviation.
