Portugal has set itself ambitious goals in terms of “green mobility” and decarbonization. And is increasingly focusing on urban and advanced air mobility. UAV DACH board member Michael Wieland was therefore happy to accept the invitation to the AAM Summit in Oeiras. Representatives from regulatory authorities, the drone economy and the aerospace industry gathered in the small town in the Lisbon metropolitan region to discuss the future of AAM in Europe in general and Portugal in particular.
In his short presentation, Michael Wieland emphasized the importance of international networking and structured cooperation in order to make the emerging European UAS industry be heard and to help shape adequate framework conditions. “Only through a united industry voice will we be able to overcome the regulatory and technical challenges in order to successfully and safely establish AAM and UAS in Europe,” he appealed - and not just to the participants of the AAM Summit.
