Inform, connect and shape. There is probably no other occasion where all these key aspects of the work of the Association for Unmanned Aviation come together like at the General Assembly. This year, the highest decision-making body of UAV DACH is meeting at the invitation of member Fraunhofer FKIE at the Fraunhofer Forum in a prime capital city location in Berlin.
On day one of the 64th General Assembly, the main focus was on what has significantly defined the work of the Executive Board and committees over the past twelve months. Among other things, there were reports from the Competence and Application Groups, which, as centers of expertise in terms of content, have a significant influence on the association's internal professional opinion-forming.
But of course (initial) decisions were also made. In addition to adopting the annual financial statements and ratifying the actions of the Executive Board for 2023, the admission of a total of 23 new members was finally confirmed.
After an evening of socializing and networking in a relaxed atmosphere, the General Assembly will continue today, on Wednesday. We will then take a closer look at the future and the focus of our annual planning for 2025. An election decision is also on the agenda with the filling of open positions on the Board of Directors.
